Dana White Bio
Dana White is a businessman born on 28th July 1969 in Manchester, Connecticut, United States. He is currently the president of the global mixed martial arts (MMA) organization, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He started his professional career as the manager of Ortiz and Liddell. He later met the then-president of UFC, Bob Meyrowitz. When Bob announced he would be selling UFC, Dana reached out to his long-time friend Lorenzo Fertitta to ask if he would be interested in buying the company.
Lorenzo and his brother Frank Joseph Fertitta bought UFC for $2 million and hired Dana as the company’s president. According to White, when they took control of UFC, they only received the brand name as everything had been stripped by the previous owners to avoid bankruptcy. In March 2019, he extended his contract as president of UFC for a further seven years. In April 2023, a merger between WWE and UFC was announced. However, Dana would continue as president of UFC under the new management.
