Daniel Olmo Carvajal, widely known as Dani Olmo, is a professional soccer player born in Terrassa, Spain, on May 7, 1998. He spent his youth career at Espanyol (2006–2007), Barcelona (2007–2014), and Dinamo Zagreb (2014–2015). He made 80 appearances for Dinamo Zagreb, scoring 20 goals.
The attacking midfielder won five Prva HNL, three Croatian Cups, and one Croatian Super Cup with Dinamo Zagreb. Dani has appeared in 67 games since he joined RB Leipzig in 2020, scoring eleven goals. He won the 2021/22 DFB-Pokal with the team. He was part of the Spanish U21 team that won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2019.
Dani was a silver medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics with the Spain U23 team. His accolades include UEFA European Under-21 Championship Team of the Tournament, UEFA Champions League Breakthrough XI, and Trophy Footballer – Prva HNL Team of the Year. In 2019, he was Trophy Footballer – Best Prva HNL player, Trophy Footballer – Best Prva HNL U-21 player, GNK Dinamo Zagreb Player of the Year, and SIMPOSAR International Sports Symposium – Discovery of the Year.
