Dania Ramirez is an award-winning Dominican actress and producer best known for her work in film and television. She was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on November 8, 1979.
Dania began her acting career in the early 2000s when she appeared in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Run of the House. She has since been a regular on the TV series Sweet Tooth, Tell Me a Story, Heroes, and The Sopranos, but she is best known for starring in the comedy-drama series Devious Maids alongside Ana Ortiz, Roselyn Sanchez, Judy Reyes, and Rebecca Wisocky.
The primetime Emmy Award-nominated actress has also appeared in films such as the installment of the American Pie comedy series, American Reunion, and Off the Menu. Her film roles also include Alex Guerrero in She Hate Me, and Callisto in the feature film X-Men: The Last Stand, opposite Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, and Halle Berry. Dania won an Imagen Foundation Award for Best Supporting Actress- Television and a NAMIC Vision Award for Best Performance – Comedy.
