Daniel Kaluuya was born on May 8 1989 in London, England. He began writing plays as early as nine years old, foreshadowing his success on the British television show Skins (2007-2009) in which he not only starred but also wrote two episodes for. Shoot the Messenger (2006) was his film debut, but he mainly starred in television shows including Doctor Who (2009) and Black Mirror (2011). Recently he has begun transitioning towards more film titles with the starring role of Get Out (2017) and the upcoming part in Black Panther (2018). Having routes tied to theatre, Kaluuya has performed professionally since 2008. He won a Circle and Evening Standard award as Outstanding Newcomer (2010) for his theatric role in the play Sucker Punch (2010).
