Daniel Sturridge is a professional soccer player who is currently a free agent, having recently played for the A-League club Perth Glory as a striker. Sturridge started his career at the age of 6 at Cadbury Athletic. He later moved to the youth setup of Aston Villa before moving to Coventry four years later. In 2003, he joined the youth academy of Manchester City. In 2006, he joined the senior side of City. He made his debut for City against Reading, replacing Georgios Samaras.
After making 21 appearances for City, he signed with Chelsea in 2009. He played two seasons for Chelsea before being loaned out to Bolton Wanderers in 2011. After the conclusion of the loan deal, he returned to Chelsea but didn’t have a great season. In January 2013, he was sold to Liverpool. He went on to make 116 appearances for Liverpool from 2013 to 2019. In 2019, he moved to Trabzonspor but was banned in 2020 for breaching betting rules. In October 2021, he joined Perth Glory as a free agent. In June 2022, he was released by the club. Sturridge has made 26 appearances for the England national team.
