American professional tennis player, Danielle Collins was born on 13th December 1993 in St.Petersburg, Florida. She played for the University of Virginia in her college years and won two NCAA singles titles. She was awarded the Honda Spots Award for the country’s best female tennis player in 2016. She started playing on the 2009 ITF Women's Circuit and won her first ITF singles title in 2011. She started her WTA Tour main draw with the 2014 US Open. She turned fully professional in 2016 and won four titles in the ITF Circuit. 2018 was her breakthrough year as she reached the final qualifying round of the Australian open. She had an impressive run at the Indian Wells. She also won her first-ever WTA tour match then. Following her performance at the Miami Open, she broke into the WTA Top 50 list. She has won two WTA tour singles titles at the 2021 Palmero Open and the 2021 Silicon Valley Classic. She reached her career-high WTA Ranking of World No.7 that year.
