Daniel Peter Simpson, widely known as Danny Simpson, is a professional soccer player born in Eccles, England, on January 4, 1987. His youth career was at Manchester United between 2003 and 2006. He made his professional debut for Manchester United in 2006, appearing on loans for several clubs, including Royal Antwerp, Sunderland, Ipswich Town, and Blackburn Rovers.
Danny won the Football League Championship with Sunderland in 2006/07 and Newcastle United in 2009/10. The right-back signed with Newcastle United in 2010, making 103 appearances. He joined Queens Park Rangers in 2013, appearing in 37 games and winning the Football League Championship play-offs in 2014.
Danny played for Leicester City from 2014 to 2019, appearing in 113 games. He won the Premier League with the team in 2015/16. He left Leicester City for Huddersfield Town in 2019, playing 24 games for the club. Danny joined Bristol City in 2021 and has appeared in seven games.
