Dante Brown is an American actor who was born on October 6, 2000, in Chicago, Illinois. Dante began acting and modeling as a kid when he landed campaigns for Keebler and Sears. One of his breaks came when he caught the attention of Oprah Winfrey; he was only 5 years old. Dante appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show’s first Amazing Kids episode with Jay Leno as the host. He was later styled as one of Oprah’s "All-Time Smartest and Most Talented Kids."
Racking up a lot of television and film credits earned him the nickname young Denzel Washington. He appeared in two episodes of Shameless, the TV series, and also had a recurring role on Mr. Robinson as Deandre Hall. He is best known for portraying Cody Alberts in the 2012 movie Won’t Back Down where he starred alongside Viola Davis, Lance Reddick, and Oscar Isaac.
