D'Arcy Beth Carden is an American actress, comedian, and writer who is best known for her work on the hit TV series The Good Place. She was born Darcy Beth Erokan in Danville, California, United States, on January 4, 1980. She began her career performing in comedic musicals and improv comedy shows. She began acting on the small screen in the early 2010’s with appearances in the TV series Stone Cold Fox, Naked in a Fishbowl, and Rhonda Casting. She became a household name in 2016 when she starred in the NBC hit series The Good Place alongside Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, Ted Danson, and Manny Jacinto. D’Arcy has made appearances on the silver screen through performances on Papi Chulo, Greener Grass, and Ride the Eagle. She has received Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, a Critics' Choice Television Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, and a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
