Russian professional tennis player Daria Kasatkina was born on 7th May 1997 in Tol'yatti, Russia. She hails from a family of athletes and started playing tennis when she was 6. As a junior, she excelled, winning a Grand Slam title at the 2014 French Open and a European 16s Championship. She rose in the rankings rapidly, reaching the World No.32 spot at 18. She won her first WTA title at the Charleston Open in 2017 as a teenager. In 2018, she shot to fame after bagging the runner-up spot at the Indian Wells Open. The biggest titles of her career came with the St.Petersburg Trophy and the Kremlin Cup. She slipped down the rankings after three more successful WTA tours before making a comeback in 2021 and reaching the No.1 spot in the WTA rankings in 2022. In her career, she has won six WTA singles titles, and one doubles title.
