Darren Criss Bio

Darren Criss was born on February 5, 1987 in San Francisco, California. He started his career in theater, starring in his first show 42nd Street Moon (1997) at the age of 10. He appeared in many other shows, going on to co-found StarKid Productions, a musical theatre company.

The focus of Criss’ career turned to television in 2010 when he was cast as Blaine Anderson in Glee, whom he played until the show’s end in 2015. However, he never totally lost touch with his theatrical roots, as in 2012, Criss appeared in the show How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying (2012) on Broadway. Criss also starred in movie Girl Most Likely (2013) adding to his acting skill set.

Criss has been nominated for and has won several acting awards, including a ‘BTVA Television Voice Acting Award’ (2016). Alongside his successful acting career, Criss also has a keen interest in music and is in the process of recording his first full-length album.
