Dashboard Confessional is an American rock band formed in Boca Raton, Florida. The group’s current membership consists of Chris Carrabba, Scott Schoenbeck, Armon Jay, and Chris Kamrada. The group’s past membership consists of John Lefler and Mike Marsh.
In 2000 they released their debut LP called The Swiss Army Romance. A year later they released the album called The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most on Vagrant Records. It charted in at number 5 on the US Indie Charts. In 2003 the albums A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar peaked at number 2 on the US Billboard Charts. In 2004 the group’s song “Vindicated” appeared in the film Spider-Man 2.
In 2005 Dashboard Confessional released the album Dusk and Summer. 2007 brought about the group’s next album called The Shade of Poison Trees. In 2010 the group released the album After the Ending. Dashboard Confessional opened for Bon Jovi on his Circle Tour in 2010. In 2017 the group released the album Crooked Shadows.
