David Cook won the American Idol’s seventh season. He was born in Houston Texas on Dec 20, 1982. Cook has been playing the guitar since he was 12. He went against David Archuleta in the finals.
Following his success in the competition, 11 of his songs made it to the Billboard Hot 100. He released a self-titled album in the same year and collaborated with various artists in the likes of Ed Roland from Collective Soul, Raine Maida from Our Lady Peace and Chris Cornell. In 2011, he released another album, This Loud Morning, which made it to No. 7 of the Billboard Top 200 and was released under RCA. He is the person behind the single “Laying Me Low” which climbed to No. 36 of the Pop Digital Songs Chart. He released an EP in 2018 and Chromance made it to the Billboard 200.
