David Dastmalchian Bio
David Dastmalchian is an American actor who was born on July 21, 1977, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After he graduated high school, he moved to Chicago where he studied acting at the DePaul University Theatre School. He is a member of the Shattered Globe Theatre Company and the Caffeine Theatre. He debuted on the big screen in 2008 with the awarded movie “The Dark Knight” directed by Christopher Nolan where he played the henchman of Heath Ledger's Joker. He appeared in multiple movies and tv shows, among which stand out “Prisoners” in 2013; “Animals” in 2014, which he wrote and starred alongside Kim Shaw and John Heard and ended up winning numerous awards in different movie festivals and “The Suicide Squad “ and “Dune”, both in 2021, where he shared screen with Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson and Zendaya.
