David Diehl Bio

David Diehl, whose full birth name is David Michael Diehl, is a former American football professional offensive lineman who was born on September 5, 1980, in Chicago, Illinois. After high school, Diehl attended the University of Illinois where he was part of the Illinois Fighting Illini football team where he received the Wright Commitment to Excellence Award.

He was drafted in 2003 by the NFL team New York Giants, where he spent all his professional career. With the New York Giants, he managed to win two Super Bowl Championships, the first one in 2007 and the second one in 2011, both times winning against the New England Patriots. He decided to retire in 2014 and shortly after, he was hired as a color analyst for the NFL games by FOX. In 2017 he became a college football analyst at the CBS Sports Network.
