David Anthony Faustino was born on March 3, 1974, in Los Angeles, California. His father was a Hollywood costume designer who encouraged both of his sons to enter show business. He made his first appearance on television at the age of three months when he appeared on a Lily Tomlin special in 1975. His older stepbrother Jeff Leiber is also an actor, and his younger brother Michael made many guest appearances on Married…with Children including “T*R*A*S*H,” an episode written by David. He was a co-owner of a nightclub in Los Angeles known as Balistyx. Here he released a hip-hop album known as Balistyx in 1992.
He did not start his regular acting until 1980. Throughout the mid-1980s, Faustino guest-starred on many well-known television series such as Family Ties, St. Elsewhere and The Love Boat. He also guest-starred on many lesser-known television series, but in 1987 he landed on full time gig on Married…with Children, in which he appeared on 259 episodes. Faustino also appeared on Burke’s law, MADtv and The New Adams Family. In 2002, he appeared on reality television show special Celebrity Boot Camp. By 2012 Faustino was cast in The Legend of Kora as the voice of fire bender Mako.
