David Harewood Bio
The British actor David Harewood was born on December 8, 1965, in Birmingham, England. He began his acting career at the age of 18 years old when he started to train in London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. In 1990 he made his first appearance on a TV show in one of the episodes of the drama show “Casualty”. His debut film role was in the movie “The Hawk” in 1993. He made history at the National Theatre in 1997, when he participated in the main role of Othello, becoming the first black actor to interpret that role. He received by Queen Elizabeth II the title David Harewood MBE, and the honor to be a Member of The Most Excellent Order.
