David Koechner is an American actor and comedian born in Tipton, Missouri on August 24, 1962. He is best known for his roles on the television series The Office and the comedy film Anchorman starring Will Ferrell. His career in acting began doing improvisational comedy sketches on shows like Saturday Night Live and Late Night with Conan O’Brien in the mid 90’s. From that he was able to land roles in other television series like Mad About You Get Real, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Still Standing, The Office, Monk, Hank, Psych, Maron, Twin Peaks, Bones, and more. Koechner made his debut in film in the 1995 movie It’s Now… or NEVER!. He has also been in numerous other films, including Dirty Work, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Out Cold, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, The Dukes of Hazzard, Balls of Fury, Road Hard, among many others. Throughout his career he has been in over 120 films and television shows and when he’s not filming he performs stand up comedy across the United States.
