Hall of fame player and coach Dawn Staley was born on 4th May 1970 in Philadelphia. She is a three-time Olympic gold medal winner with Team USA. She went on to become their head coach and led them to another victory. In the 2004 Summer Olympics, he was voted to carry the flag of the United States at the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics. Even in her amateur career, she was a high achiever, being named national high school player of the year. She started coaching the Temple University Owls Women’s basketball team while still a WNBA Player. In 2008, she was named the head coach of the University of South Carolina. She helped build the team to the number one position. In 2020, she became the first person to win the Naismith Award as a coach and a player. She has also bagged three National Coach of the Year titles.
