Deerhunter is an American rock band that was formed in 2001. Originally from Atlanta Georgia, the band is comprised of five members; Bradford Cox on vocals, keyboard and guitar, Moses Archuleta on drums and electronics, Lockett Pundt on vocals, guitar and keyboard, Josh McKay on the bass and Javier Morales on alto saxophone, keyboards and synths. Deerhunter’s debut release landed in 2005 titled ‘Turn It Up Faggot’ with temporary bassist Josh Fauver before the arrival of Pundt. Their follow up album, ‘Cryptograms’ came in 2007 with a mix of ambient sounds and garage rock. In 2008, Deer Hunter released album’s ‘Microcastle’ and ‘Weird Era’ with the latter landing on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart at number 123. The band toured in support of this album and did not return with another album until 2010 with ‘Halcyon Digest’ which landed at number 37 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart followed by billboard 200 number 41 album, ‘Monomania’. Deer hunter pursued their alternative rock success and released another album titled ‘Fading Frontier’ in 2014. The band did not release any news nor music until 2018 where they released tour dates in New York and Europe. Although, unfortunately Fauver passed at the age 39 that year. Deerhunter’s eighth and most recent album, ‘Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared?’ was released in 2019 with the addition of Javier Morales.
