Demetri Evan Martin is an award-winning comedian, actor, director, cartoonist, and musician from the United States. In stand-up, he's known for his deadpan delivery, guitar jokes, and satirical drawings. He played Ice Bear in the Cartoon Network series We Bare Bears. He was born on 25 May 1973 in New York City into a Greek-American family, the son of Lillian (1951–2019) and Greek Orthodox priest Dean C. Martin (1948–1994). Martin began performing stand-up comedy shortly after graduating from law school in 1997. His first major breakthrough in stand-up comedy came in 2001, when he featured on Comedy Central's stand-up showcase Premium Blend. With his show, he received the Perrier Award at the 2003 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Demetri Martin debuted as the new Youth Correspondent on The Daily Show in March 2006. His other works include roles in comedy album titled These Are Jokes, Wayne music video for "Someone to Love", and Rainn Wilson's film The Rocker (2008), among other amazing works.
