Depedro, real name Jairo Zavala, is a singer born in 1973 in Madrid Comunidad de Madrid, Spain. He learned how to play guitar on his own, and together with Javier Vacas, they founded a music group called La Vacazul. He went on to record five albums with the group. He later played with several bands at a go. He was later introduced to the music group Calexico by Amparo Sanchez. He toured with the group and recorded a couple of albums with them.
Jairo started his solo career in 2007 and adopted the stage name, Depedro. He received support from Vetusta Morla who invited him to perform songs that didn’t fit into groups he had previously played with. He went on to release his first solo self-titled album in 2008. Two years late, he dropped his second album “Paper Clouds”, followed by the third album “The Incredible Story of a Good Man” in 2013. Other albums released by Depedro include “The Passenger” in 2016, “Everything will be fine” in 2018, and “Once Upon a Time” in 2019.
