Derek Muller Bio
Derek Muller was born on November 9, 1982 in Victoria, Australia, but moved to Canada at the age of two. Derek graduated from Queen’s University, Ontario with a BSc. in Engineering Physics. After this, he moved back to Australia where he got a Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Sydney.
He joined the productions team of the Australian show Catalyst in 2008. He is better known for his Youtube channel Veritasium which he launched in 2010. Derek’s content features expert interviews, cool demonstrations, lively public discussions and exciting experiments. They have earned his channel more than 390 million views and more than 4.4 million subscribers. His work earned him the 2017 Streamy Award for Best Science and Education Channel.
