Derwin Alonzo James Jr., known as Derwin James, is an American professional football player who plays as a strong safety in the NFL. He was born in Haines City, Florida, United States, on August 3, 1996.
Derwin spent his formative years playing for Haines City Senior High School and Florida State University, and he turned professional in 2018 when he was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers in the first round of the NFL Draft.
Throughout his time with the Los Angeles Chargers, Derwin played alongside Justin Herbert, J.C. Jackson, Khalil Mack, Keenan Allen, and Mike Williams. His career highlights include two Pro Bowls.
