Dian Paramita Sastrowardoyo, also known as Dian Sastrowardoyo or Dian Sastro, is an Indonesian actress and model who was born on March 16, 1982, in Jakarta. In 1996, she debuted as the cover girl of Gadis, a popular teen magazine in Indonesia. She played Daya in “Pasir Berbisik”, which was a critical success and earned her numerous awards. She was widely recognized for her performance as Cinta in the 2002 romantic film Ada Apa Dengan Cinta?, for which she received the Citra Award for Best Actress. She returned to the role 14 years later in the sequel. In 2002, she won the Best Actress award at the Deauville Asian Film Festival for her performance in Pasir Berbisik. Sastrowardoyo is one of Indonesia's most successful actresses. Since 2010, she has been the face of L'Oréal Paris Indonesia. Did she reprise her role as the titular character in Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? 2, the sequel to Ada Apa Dengan Cinta?, opposite actor Nicholas Saputra, in 2016. Since then, she has established herself as one of Indonesia's most bankable actresses, appearing in films such as “Banyu Biru”, “Ungu Violet”, and “Belahan Jiwa”, as well as international productions such as “Malaysia's Puteri Gunung Ledang”.
