Diego Andrés González Boneta is a singer and actor born on November 29, 1990, in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. Boneta began his career at 12 years old when he appeared in the reality singing series, Codigo Fama. He appeared in telenovelas Misión S.O.S. aventura y amor and Rebelde. In 2010, he started acting in American productions like Pretty Little Liars and 90210. His first breakthrough role was starring as Drew Broley in the movie adaptation of Rock of Ages with Julianne Hough, Tom Cruise, and Alec Baldwin. Boneta has also appeared in television series like The Dovekeepers, Jane the Virgin, and Scream Queens. In 2018, Boneta plays the Mexican singer Luis Miguel in the series Luis Miguel, La Serie. The series tells the story of the singer’s rise to international fame. Alongside the series, Boneta recorded several covers of Luis Miguel’s songs in the soundtrack album.
