Dillon Danis is a professional mixed martial arts fighter born on August 22, 1993, in New Jersey, United States. Danis started training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu when he was 15 years old. He joined Jaime Cruz’s academy to train in Jiu-Jitsu and supplemented it with wrestling training from Parsippany Hills with coach Jason Lodato. When he was 17, he began having additional training in New York with Marcelo Garcia. He transferred to Garcia’s academy full-time when he was 19, with the goal of turning pro. He participated in his first tournament in 2012, winning his first gold medal in 2015. In 2017, Danis and Garcia ended their professional relationship. The following year, Danis debuted in his first mixed martial arts match at Bellator. Fighting against Kyle Walker, Danis won the match by submission in a little over one and a half minutes.
