Dimitar Berbatov is a former professional football player who played as a striker. He started his career in 1991 with Pirin Blagoevgrad youth setup. He remained at the club until 1998 when he joined the CSKA Sofia academy. That same year, he joined the senior team of CSKA Sofia, where he made 50 appearances for the club, scoring 26 goals. In 2002, he joined Bayer Leverkusen II and later the senior side, where he made 154 appearances for the club. In 2006, he joined Tottenham.
After two years with the North London club, he joined Manchester United. He made 108 appearances for Manchester United, scoring 48 goals. He went on to play for Fulham from 2012 to 2014, Monaco from 2014 to 2015, PAOK from 2015 to 2016, Kerala Blasters from 2017 to 2018. Berbatov also made 78 appearances for Bulgaria from 1999 to 2010, scoring 48 goals.
