Dimitri from Paris is the pseudonym by which the French producer and DJ Dimitri Yerasimos is known. Yerasimos was born in Istanbul, Turkey on the 1st of October,1963. He began his career as a DJ, playing at local venues and sounding on French radio stations, and in 1986 he presented his House Music Program, a radio broadcast which was the first of its kind issued in France. Around the same time, he made the musical production of some of the greatest fashion shows in the world, such as Jean-Paul Gaultier, Chanel, Hermès and Yves Saint-Laurent. In 1996 he released a full-length album Sacrebleu, mixing various musical styles such as jazz, samba and house. This album was named album of the year by Mixmag magazine. His second studio album was Cruising Attitude released in 2003 and during his career he released 10 compilation albums.
