Dir En Grey Bio
Hailing from Osaka, Japan, Dir En Grey is a Japanese band that performs alternative metal, avant-garde metal, and Indies music. The band consists of Kaoru on guitar and vocals, Kyo on vocals, Die on guitar and vocals, Toshiya on bass guitar and vocals, and Shinya on drums. Dir En Grey was formed in 1997, and in 1999, they released their debut studio project Gauze. Their discography includes the singles Obscure, Child Prey, Cage, Ningen Wo Kaburu, Ain’t Afraid To Die, and the albums PHALARIS, The Insulated World, and Arche. Dir En Grey’s music was featured in the album D’erlanger Tribute Album alongside fellow musical artists HYDE, Acid Android, Angelo, and Pierre Nakano.
