Dirtyphonics Bio

Dirtyphonics is an electronic music band hailing from Paris, France. Its members consist of Charly Barranger, Julien Corrales, and Julien Lignon. The group specializes in the genres of hybrid dubstep, drum & bass, and drum step. The group began recording and producing in 2004. In 2008 they signed to Shimon’s label AudioPorn Records. In the same year they released their debut single “French F**k.” The single reached the number 1 position on the Beatport Electronic Music Charts. The follow up singles “Quarks” and “Vandals” also charted well on Beatport.

In 2009 Dirtyphonics won the Drum & Bass Arena Award for “Best Newcomer Producer.”  They then went on tour and headlined shows with artists such as Skrillex, Knife Party, Steve Aoki, and DJ Snake. The group also played at festivals such as EDC, SXSW, WMC, and Tomorrowland. In 2013 Dirtyphonics released their debut studio album called Irreverence on the label Dim Mak Records. In 2015 Ditryphonics collaborated with Zeds Dead for the single “Where Are You Now” featuring Bright Lights. Their second EP, Write Your Future, was released in the same year.
