Divock Okoth Origi (born April 18, 1995 in Ostend, Belgium) is a Belgian professional footballer. He is the son of former Kenyan professional footballer Mike Origi. Divock Origi began playing football at the Genk Youth Academy in 2001. He spent nine years at Genk before signing for French club LOSC Lille (at age 15) in May 2010. He began his senior club career with Lille team B where he played 11 games and netted twice.
Origi began representing Belgium at the U15 level, then advanced to U16, U17, U19 and U21. He was eventually noticed during the 2013 UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifications where he scored 10 goals for the team in 19 matches, the first against Belarus on October 12, 2012.
In May 2014, Origi was selected in the 23-man squad to represent Belgium at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. On June 17, He made his debut as a substitute for Romelu Lukaku in the 58th minute in a Group H clash against Algeria. His first senior international goal in their 1-0 win over Russia.
In July 2014, Origi joined Liverpool for a reported transfer fee of £10 million but was soon loaned back to Lille for the 2014-15 Ligue 1 season. On August 31, 2017, Origi joined VfL Wolfsburg on a season long loan deal. He returned to Liverpool in 2018 and played for three years before signing a 4-year contract with AC Milan in 2022.
