Nelson Diaz Martinez, better known by his stage name DJ Nelson, is a DJ and producer born on April 7, 1972, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Known as one of the figures behind the popularization of reggaeton, he started his career as part of the music group The Noise in 1992. Nelson made his CD debut in 1997 with the release of Nel-Zone. This marked the start of his solo career. He mainly focused on producing, with credits on albums like Ivy Queen’s The Original Rude Girl and Wisin & Yandel’s Los Reyes del Nuevo Milenio. Nelson has also collaborated with artists like Don Chezina, Issa, and Alberto Stylee. Nelson created and owns the label, Flow Music. Focused on reggaeton, the label has signed artists like the duo known as Luny Tunes and Noriega.
