DJ Sasha is a Welsh record producer and DJ. His real name is Alexander Paul Coe, and he was born on the 4th of September, 1969, in Bangor, Wales, United Kingdom. He began his career performing on the acid house scene at local clubs in Manchester. He was hiret at The Hacienda a Manchester club as a regular DJ and in 1990 he moved on to work on the club Shelley’s Laserdome. It was around those years that Sasha began to experiment with the a capella sounds and piano melodies that would later become part of his signature. He graced the first cover of the British music magazine Mixmag, due to his increasing popularity. He began producing his own tracks like “Appolonia” and he began making prolific collaborations with artists such as Danny Campbell. In 1993, he partnered with John Digweed and together they released the mix album “Renaissance: The Mix Collection”.They gained further recognition after they released their second album “Northern Exposure”. They toured together several times around the U.S. and in Europe. DJ Sasha has made a name for himself in the industry and he is particularly known for his technical skills and his never-ending experimentation with new technologies.
