DJ Spoony is the stage name for DJ, producer and radio host and television personality Jonathan Joseph. He was born in Hackney, United Kingdom on the 25th of June, 1970. He began his career as a DJ at a radio station called London Underground, where he broadcasted mixes of soul, R&B and garage. In 1997, he joined Kiss 100 Radio Station, besides always performing as a DJ at the trendiest London parties. He became resident DJ at one of the R&B's biggest clubs in London, Twice as Nice, a position he held during 7 years. Afterwards, he joined BBC Radio 1 with a radio show specialized in UK garage beats. In 2019, he recorded a studio album called “Garage Classical” and released it through Sony Music. Joseph has also released two compilation mix albums of his sets during his residency at Twice As Nice.
