DJ Target Bio
Darren Joseph, known as DJ Target, is a musical artist, DJ, presenter, and author born in the United Kingdom. He is a pioneer of Grime music and a founding member of the chart-topping group Roll Deep. His career began in the Garage scene with Pay As You Go Cartel.
DJ Target started hosting part of the 1Xtra Takeover on BBC Radio 1 and Radio 1Xtra in September 2013. He was best known for delivering the best of new music, from R&B to UK Rap, Grime, Drum & Bass, and Hip-hop. He was the talent and music lead at Radio 1Xtra from July 2018 to June 2021.
DJ Target is the co-founder of Pitched Up. He published Grime Kids in 2018. DJ Target hosted the Aim Independent Music Awards in September 2022. He received a nomination for Radio DJ of the Year at the 2022 GRM Daily Rated Awards in October 2022. His verified Instagram account has over 104,000 followers.
