DMX, (born Earl Simmons) is an award-winning rapper and actor, who boasts an impressive resume.  The early 2000’s gave him the title of Reigning King of Hardcore Rap, with the hit, ‘Party Up (Up in Here),’ which became his first Top-Ten hit on the R&B Billboard charts.  In 1999, the single was released on his best-selling album, And Then There Was X.  Subsequent albums, The Great Depression, and Grand Champ, which became his fifth album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.  DMX is the only artist in history to release five consecutive albums at No. 1 spots.  He has been nominated for three Grammy Awards, five MTV Video Music Awards, and has won one American Music Award as Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist
