Dokken is an American metal band formed in 1979 in Los Angeles, California. The current members of the band are Don Dokken on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Jon Levin on lead guitar, Chris McCarvill on bass guitar and backing vocals, and Mick Brown on drums and backing vocals. They released their debut studio album in 1981 titled Breaking the Chains and have since released the albums Tooth and Nail, Under Lock and Key, Back for the Attack, Dysfunctional, Shadowlife, Erase the Slate, Long Way Home, Hell to Pay, Lightning Strikes Again, and Broken Bones. The band has released 11 studio albums, 5 live albums, 1 EP, and 7 compilation albums. They have sold over 10 million albums and were nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 1989 for their live album Beast from the East. The band has had a number of charting singles, including “In My Dreams”, “Alone Again”, “Burning Like a Flame” and more.
