Dolly de Leon is an actress from Manila, Philippines. She is best known for appearing in a wide range of films. She was mentored by the founding father of Philippine university theater Tony Mabesa. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Theater in 1995. Dolly started her acting career by appearing in soap operas. She later landed roles in films while still starring in soap operas and theater. Her first major breakthrough came in 1991 with the horror anthology film “Shake, Rattle, and Roll III”.
She has worked with some of the most popular film directors, including Antoinette Jadaone, Erik Matti, and Lav Diaz. In 2018, she portrayed Mayor Susan in the romantic drama film “Hintayan ng Langit”. The following year, she played Elsa in the crime drama film “Verdict”. In 2021, she appeared in the drama film “History ni Ha” as Dahla. In 2022, she landed the role of Abigail in the black comedy film “Triangle of Sadness”.
