Don Edward Fagenson, also known as Don Was was born on 13th September, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan, United States. He is a music producer, musician, record executive and composer. Don is known for his collaborations with artists and performers such as The Rolling Stones, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Derrick Hodge, The Haden Triplets, Puss N Boots, Neil Diamond, Glenn Frey, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Charles Lloyd / Charles Lloyd & the Marvels, Ringo Starr, and many more. In the movies, he is known for his work on “Mad About You”, “Black Rain”, “See No Evil, Hear No Evil”, “Assassins”, etc. In 2014, he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Direction – The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles.
