Donatas Motiejūnas is a basketball player who plays for AS Monaco Basket, which competes in the LNB Pro A and the EuroLeague. Born on 20th September 1990 in Kaunas, Lithuania, Donatias began his career in 2005 with the Zalgiris Kauna youth setup. In 2008, he joined Aisciai Kaunas, where he posted some impressive stats. In August 2009, he joined Benetton Trevison on a multi-year deal. In 2010, he was declared for the 2010 NBA draft, but would later withdraw.
Donatas was selected by Minnesota Timberwolves in June 2011 as the 20th overall pick of the 2011 NBA draft. The next day, he was traded to Houston Rockets along with Jonny Flynn, with Brad Miller moving the other way. He played for the Rockets from 2012 to 2016. In January 2017, he joined New Orleans Pelicans. In August of the same year, he joined Shandong Golden Stars on a one-year deal. He went on to play for San Antonio Spurs, Shanghai Sharks, Xianjiang Flying Tigers, and then AS Monaco.
