Donna Murphy is an American actress and pop singer who was born on March 7th 1959 in New York City, New York, United States. She graduated from Masconomet Regional High School in 1977 and left New York University in 1980 with a degree in Drama. She is also an alumna of Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
Donna rose to fame as a Broadway star after she was awarded Best Actress in a Musical at the Tony Awards for her roles in Passion and The King and I. She is also known for appearing on Star Trek: Insurrection with Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Donna was once named one of the three Legit Luminaries alongside Joan Didion and Christine Ebersonle in Variety’s Women’s Impact Issue.
