Donnie Wahlberg was born on August 17, 1969 in Boston, Massachusetts. Now recognized as an actor, producer, writer and singer, it all began for Donnie as one of the founding members of 1980’s band New Kids on the Block. The band hit the top of the charts with Please Don’t Go in 1988 and had success for several years before he transitioned into acting in 1994. His film notoriety started in Sixth Sense (1999) where he gained recognition in spite of the minor role he had in the film.
Although he starred in several films he is best known for the part of detective Eric Matthews in the Saw franchise. Outside of film he has also made a name for himself in TV with roles in Band of Brothers (2001) and Blue Blood (2010- present), where he has earned nominations in the past for the People’s Choice favorite TV crime actor award.
