Dougie Poynter is an English musician, model, clothing designer, and author born on Corringham, England on November 30 1987. He is a bassist for the bands McFly and A. At 15 years old he auditioned to be the bass player for the band McFly in 2003. He got the spot and became the youngest member of the band. The band has released 5 studio albums and has seen much success winning a number of awards for their albums and songs. Poynter is credited as the lead writer and co-writer of many of the band’s songs. In 2013 McFly joined the band Busted to form McBusted. The super-group toured in 2014 and 2015. In 2018 Dougie formed the rock band INK and that same year joined the band A. He made his runway debut in 2016 at Joshua Kane with Lab Series Autumn/Winter show for London Collective Men. He released his debut children’s book in 2012 titled The Dinosaur that Pooped Christmas that he co-wrote with Tom Fletcher. The book sold over 72,000 copies and was the most popular debut children’s novel in 2012. In 2013 they followed it up with the book The Dinosaur That Pooped A Planet.
