Douglas Smith Bio

Douglas Smith is a Canadian actor and music composer. He was born Douglas Alexander Smith, on the 22nd of June, 1985, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He landed his first role in the acting industry as a younger version of Brendan Fraser’s character in the movie “Blast from the Past”, in 1999. Later, he starred in the Australian series “Out There”. He also appeared in many television series like “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, “CSI: Miami”, “The X-Files”, and “Cold Case”, among many others. He played along Bill Paxton, portraying his son on the series “Big Love”. He acted in “Sleepover”, alongside Alexa PenaVega and Sara Paxton, “Rock the Paint”, “Santa’s Slay” and “State’s Evidence”. He also played in “Antiviral”, which competed in the category Un Certain Regard at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. In 2017, he portrayed Alex in the movie “Bottom of the World”.
