Dream State Bio
Dream State is a Welsh post-hardcore band formed in 2014. Its line-up comprises vocalist CJ Gilpin, guitarists Rhys Wilcox and Aled Rhys Evans, bassist Danny Ryer and drummer Jamie Lee. In 2015 they released a debut EP titled “Consequences”, and two years later they signed with the Australian label UNFD. The band gained commercial notoriety with the single White Lies”, and made an appearance at the Reading and Leeds summer festivals. In 2018 the band issued an EP titled “Recovery” which received critical acclaim and won the Best Newcomer category at The Kerrang! Awards. After some line-up changes the band saw the exit of Danny Ryer, and released the full-length “Primrose Path” in 2019. The latter album was ranked 100 in the UK albums chart.
