Coming from Dallas, Texas, Drowning Pool was formed in 1996. The metal group debuted in the early 2000s with members Mike Luce, C.J. Pierre, and Stevie Benton. The trio started performing, and was able to develop even further with the addition of Dave Williams as their vocalist.
Drowning Pool was invited by Sevendust to perform with them after hearing their first demo. Then, as Drowning Pool released their second demo, it reached the Top Ten on KEGL, a Dallas radio station which led to their signing for Wind-Up Records label. Their first album is entitled “Sinner: Unlucky 13” became a certified platinum after six weeks of release.
