Dustin Tavella (born April 11, 1986 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American magician and TV personality most renowned for winning the sixteenth season of the NBC show America’s Got Talent. He is also a musician with several singles and an EP.
Tavella’s career as a magician was inspired by the shows he attended in Atlanta City with his grandparents. However, he did not start performing magic professionally until much later. Initially, Travella worked for Compassion International, a humanitarian organization that supports the homeless and impoverished children.
In 2010, Travella began to record R&B and pop songs and uploaded them on his self-titled YouTube channel. However, it didn’t bring him the popularity he craved.
He achieved national fame following his participation in the CMT’s show, “Sweet Home Alabama.” His participation in the show changed the direction of his music career so that his 2013 single, “Everybody Knows (Douchebag)” and five-track EP, “Phases 1 3” became successful.
Tavella launched his magic career in 2018, and participated in the sixteenth season of America’s Got Talent in 2021. He eventually won, beating the other nine constants to a one-million-dollar grand prize. He launched his magic show, “Here Comes Trouble” a year after winning the show.
