New Zealand actor, director, writer, and producer Dwayne Cameron was born on 28th October 1981 in Auckland. His interest in the arts started at 6. His professional acting debut came with a commercial for Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing at 12. By 15, he bagged his first role in the American entertainment industry with ‘Amazon High’ where he acted alongside Selma Blair. He also played a guest role alongside William Shatner in ‘Twist in the Tale’. He shot to fame with the show ‘The Tribe’ where he played the role of Bray. He also played lead roles in award winning films like ‘Mercy Peak’. Other films that he has played a lead role on are ‘Street Legal’, ‘The Possum Hunter’ and ‘The Locals’. In 2009, he launched a website to showcase his other talents as a painter, sculptor, director, writer and producer. The film ‘Holding the Sun’ which he produced, directed and acted in went on to earn nominations at the New Zealand Film Festival and was also selected in the Short Film Category at the Cannes Film Festival.
