E L James is an author born on 7th March 1963 in London, England. She is known for writing best-selling books, especially Fifty Shades (erotic novel series). From a young age, James loved reading romance novels. She was inspired to write Fifty Shades after reading the vampire novel series “Twilight”. She read the novel a couple of times and decided to write a book based on the characters. She two sequels to the Twilight novel between January and August of 2009.
She was however surprised at how successful the book was. In August 2013, Forbes ranked her the highest-earning author because of her book sales, which had earned a record $95 million. She also had film rights to the trilogy “Fifty Shades of Grey”. She went on to release “Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian” in 2015, “Darker: Fifty Shades Darker as Told by Christian” in 2017, “The Mister” in 2019, and “Freed: Fifty Shades Freed as Told by Christian” in 2021.
